snow. {in the 70's}

No, I'm having a disco fever moment. That would be today's actual forecast. 70 degrees. On January 7th. I can hear you up north, rubbing your mittens together and wishing it would stay in the lower 50's so you could go out in shorts. I've been there! I grew up in Michigan. And while I have to admit that I {sometimes, maybe, a little bit} miss seeing snow, this gorgeous weather is one of the things I love most about the south. Then again, I did have to move from the hammock to the picnic table to type better. I know...so annoying right?!   ;)

Well today, wherever you are, you can have the best of both worlds. I came across a new blog {Golden Gang Kindergarten} where Deanna created a snowball fight for her Floridian kids to practice number combinations of 10 while also enjoying some flurry fun.  Complete with recording sheet.  Go snag her game and give her another follower.  I have a feeling we'll be wanting to hear more from her!

Ok, so, I guess that only helps the teachers in the south get snow. If you're looking for some sun and warmth up north, celebrate Rod Stewart's birthday Monday by listening to Last Summer and have your students write about what they did last summer!   No?  Then you can at least go find a place with good sangria.  ;)
