proceeds for Connecticut.

I didn't find out about the Connecticut shooting until after school and I'm still somewhat speechless.  All I can do is think of my kindergarteners, cry for the families who lost theirs and pray for the students who survived but are still victims of what they had to go through today.

I don't have many words to explain the impact it's having on me - as I'm sure it is all of you - but I am hurting inside for everyone in Connecticut who was affected today.  As a kindergarten teacher, I can't imagine the fear and panic those teachers must've felt to do all that they could do to protect their babies. They are truly heroes.

Any proceeds I make in my Teachers Pay Teachers store from now through the end of the year {December 31, 2012} will be sent to the school in Connecticut.  I don't have a specific fund in mind because I'm not sure they've had the chance to be set up yet.  But 100% of it will be set aside to be donated January 1st.

It's not much but I feel a kindergarten connection and the need to do...something.

Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them.  For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.  {Matthew 19:14}

  2. Thank you for this: I have felt the same way all afternoon/evening. My husband texted me about the shooting during school but I didn't know it was Kindergarteners until after school. So close to home. I can't even imagine. Thank you for what you are doing for the school!
