I don't have many words to explain the impact it's having on me - as I'm sure it is all of you - but I am hurting inside for everyone in Connecticut who was affected today. As a kindergarten teacher, I can't imagine the fear and panic those teachers must've felt to do all that they could do to protect their babies. They are truly heroes.
Any proceeds I make in my Teachers Pay Teachers store from now through the end of the year {December 31, 2012} will be sent to the school in Connecticut. I don't have a specific fund in mind because I'm not sure they've had the chance to be set up yet. But 100% of it will be set aside to be donated January 1st.
It's not much but I feel a kindergarten connection and the need to do...something.
Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. {Matthew 19:14}
love you, Kristin! What a great idea! Deb Wirden. I am so sad for the community and the families who have lost their children and loved o es.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this: I have felt the same way all afternoon/evening. My husband texted me about the shooting during school but I didn't know it was Kindergarteners until after school. So close to home. I can't even imagine. Thank you for what you are doing for the school!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the scripture.... and I plan on doing the same with my earnings from TPT. <3 Praying for those children, teachers and families affected! =*(
