30 before 30 {and after}

Today is my 30th birthday. And I have to admit that I've been looking forward to it about as much as Rachel & Joey.
But I took a step back to really look at my life and I have no choice but to humbly say that I have been so blessed. So instead of the traditional 30 before 30 list that would set me up to look at what could have been, here's 30 pretty amazing things I'm super pleased to say I can already cross off:

And since life doesn't end at 30 {it really isn't as old as it seemed!} here are my next 30 things to try:

Would you like to play along?  Share either version.  And I encourage you to print it out & hang it up somewhere as well.  Take a random Saturday to pick something new to work on.  It's so fun crossing things off the list!  :)
{Thanks to Miss Tiina for the cute heart stationery!}

  5. Happy Birthday girl! I am hosting my own linky right now, but I will be back to join in sooner rather than later. This is such a cool idea. I am in need of some personal reflection right now - such a great way to put things in perspective and be proactive. LOVED this post today :)

  6. Happy Birthday! I love that episode of Friends (ok, I love them all). I like how you made a reflective list - most people don't do that! What a great idea.

  11. Great List---both ways! I love how positively you handled your first list--made me start thinking of all the things I could put on my own (30 before 30) list (and that's a good thing, since I'm over 40...shhh).

    Sadly, though, your ride in the Cash Cab might need to be modified a little--Discovery Channel cancelled Cash Cab :(.

    Happy Belated Birthday!

  14. Kristin, I hope you had a beautiful birthday. I tried to leave a comment earlier, but it didn't show up. I like musicals too, but I haven't been able to see Wicked yet. I was also wondering if you could tell us more about being in a commercial? That sounds ultra-cool. I really like this idea about reflecting. When I get home from this week's Lego Education conference in Kansas City, maybe I'll join the fun and link up my own list of 30.

  15. Happy Birthday! You are truly a blessing and inspiration to others & I'm sure God will continue to bless you by putting him first! I love the list & plan on making one & printing it like you suggested...except mine should be 40..eeek. That freaks me out just typing it! & mine will be a little more boring than yours!

  16. Happy Birthday! 30 was easy for me but 31 was much harder for some reason. I am now almost 35 but don't feel any different than when I was 25. I love your list. I may have to add it to my blog and link back here. Come check me out as well
