There was some research that showed that kids at that age don't comprehend calendar activities and that it is a waste of time. I disagree completely. I taught K for a bit last year and I snuck in a shortened version every day. Yikes! We often clap when counting by tens, snap {or pretend to} when counting by fives, and shout when counting by ones on a specific number whenever it shows up in the counting chart (like a 4 in the ones place ;) So cool to see how you do whispering.
